Product Introduction
Ferro chrome(FeCr) is an iron alloy composed of chromium and iron. It is an important alloy additive for steelmaking.According to different carbon content, ferro chrome can be divided into high-carbon ferrochrome , low-carbonferrochrome , Micro-carbon ferrochrome .The lower the carbon content of ferrochrome, the more difficult it is to smelt, the higher the power consumption, and the higher
the cost. Ferrochrome with a carbon content of less than 2% is suitable for smelting stainless steel, acid-resistant steel andother low-carbon chromium steels. Ferrochrome with a carbon content of more than 4% is commonly used to make ball bearing steeland steel for auto parts.
Application
(1) In the metallurgical industry, chromium iron ore is mainly used to produce chromium iron alloy and metal chromium. Chromium -iron alloy is used as steel to produce special steel, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, high temperature, and oxidation special steel, such as stainless steel, acid steel, heat -resistant steel, drum bearing steel, spring steel, tool steel, etc.
(2) In refractory materials, chromium iron ore is used to make chromium bricks, chromium magnesium bricks and other special refractory materials.
(3) In the chemical industry, it is mainly used to produce sodium chromate, which is used to make other chromium compounds for pigmentation, textile, electroplating, and catalysts and catalysts.
