Clear colorless viscous solution, odorless. The general content is 85% ~ 95%. Colorless columnar crystal with density (18ºC)1.834g/cm3, melting point 42.3ºC, boiling point 158ºC, freezing point 21.1ºC was obtained. 150ºC becomes anhydrous, heated to 215ºC becomes pyrophosphoric acid, about 300ºC becomes metaphosphate, vapor pressure 3.8Pa. Strong deliquescence. It is miscible with water and ethanol.
